Hello

We would like to visit your team next weekend.
I didn't know that is was going this bad with your team! We just wanted to see a Germand team.

Is there a special place that we should visit (near the stadium, not the city we already did that several times)? Where you come together before going to the game?
The best places for some supp action looks to me the BitburgerWall.

Talking about pubs close to the ground? I fear there aren't some rewarding ones. And the gas stations aren't what they used to be as well. So, the ground itself would be the place. Some people gather around the supporters' home inside the stadium behind the Bitburger Wall next to section S4.

Yes that's in the stadium.
If you prefer it a bit fancier, then there's also the fanbar/ restaurant inside the stadium called Klömpchensclub. That's inside the big yellow box at the front of the stadium together with the fanshop.
To get in there on matchday before the game you'll need your ticket, since the entrance will only be from the inside of the stadium then.

Have fun and enjoy your stay!

Well usually inside the stadium or right before (there often with their own bottles of beer they bring along).
But the "fancier place" the fan bar is certainly not as fancy the business area and nothing really exclusive, so you'll also find just all normal fans in there and the beer costs the same as everywhere else in or at the stadium. So its basically just a matter of personal preference wether you want to sit at a table in a bar (asuming you're early or lucky enough to find a place to sit) or stand around with a plastic mug.
(There are selected Kiosks in the stadium that serve beer at the outside as well as the inside. Mainly at the front towards the street.)

This is where you can see what the bar looks like from the inside and what foods they serve on weekdays (the daily menue is usually a really god and cheap lunch):

If I were you I would start with a nice lunch in the Klömpchensklub.
It's a nice place to eat in a nice atmosphere. And you can see some remarkable souvenirs of the past, successfull, times.

Afterwards just move to the S3/S4 stand and enjoy some beer.
And I'm sure you will meet some crazy people which might be able (just a matter of the language) to introduce you to probably the most beautiful stadium and the most lovely club in Europe.

Cheers and enjoy your trip.

The most beautiful stadium does not exist any more.

If you want to meet some realy nice Honks , get yourself
tickets in S1 near the field.

Another nice option for you might also be a stadium tour for 45 minutes starting 3 hours before the match.

The tour on matchday is the one called the "Fan-Tour"

The website with the description is sadly just in German but the so called Fan-Tour on matchdays would include the following:

It takes 45 minutes and the special thing is that you get to see some of the match preparations that are going on behind the szenes.

it includes the business area with the vip boxes and the side of the field with the players bench the mixed-zone and the press room before the match.

the prices for the tour are 5 euros for kids (up to 14 years of age), 10 Euros for club members and 15 euros regular price.
and it starts 3 hours before the match and takes about 45 minutes.

If you're interested in such a tour you could fill out the german e-mail form
on the bottom of the site in the link ( if your German is to poor to know what to fill into which field have the website translated by google) or you could call the hotline (01805 / 018011) from germany. Or send a fax to 0241 / 938 40 369 (outside of germany internationally the fax number would then of course be: 0049 241 938 40 369 )

You, could certainly ask if they can arrange for a guide who speaks english well enough or if your group is large enough maybe even for an all english tour if that's possible and not on to short a notice since its of course less than a week until the match now.

Is it possible to walk around in the S-section (S2-S5)?

Sounds great,
But we can't arrive before 12h45 - 13h00, but maybe we'll do it in the future.

I think we'll eat something in the Klömpchensklub and then take a look at S3/4.

I'm curious what it will be. We're fans of KRC Genk and we've the most beautiful stadium of Belgium, but it only has 25000 places (and thats even the 4th biggest stadium of Belgium). That is also a reason why we've chosen AA to see!

Yes, I should normally be possible to walk around inside the terracing section, at least up at the very rear after you entered the correct block. But theoretically security personell might not allow you to.

Of course you naturally won't be able to get into a seated section from the terracing section. You will also be able to walk around freely inside the entire stadium concourse and have a look at all the nice graffittis from various fanclubs as well as the various little information boards at the kiosks telling about the clubs history or former players, if you understand german well enough to understand what it says on them.

And in case you don't know, the stadium magazine is available for free.
The club generally just politely asks to consider a little donation for some good cause though.
To pay for drinks inside the stadium you'll need to get an electronic card, which you can return after the match. You can get that at the fanshop or at special cashiers with orange cardlogos.

Forgotten question: what is the best place to park the car?
Most probably you come along the A76 from the Dutch / German border, then you take the 2nd exit ( Aachen-Zentrum ) to the right ( Krefelder Strasse ). At the first tfc light on Krefelder Strasse you turn right ( Eulersweg ). You follow Eulersweg approx. 500m, then in a narrow right turn you leave to the left ( although it looks like closed - don't worry ! ) and continue on Soerser Weg as far as you can then you turn left on the parking ground. Parking fee is € 5.

That`s right golfyankee.

You can also go a little bit further on the Krefelder Strasse. Turn left and directly right on a Parking Slot of a big Furniture Store called "Portas". Parking is usually for free there. Against Hallescher FC for sure, but I can´t guarantee it. Another good Option is at the Road called "Grüner Weg". You´ll get some free Spots there. It´s a 5 to 10 Minute Walk to the Stadium and you will get out to the Autobahn even quicker if you park your car in a Toll Area after the Game.

Take the Entrance South/East A/B (Südost A/B), turn right and at O4 will be the Entrance to the Klömpchensclub. May be, we could have a Beer together.
